A male supporter of President Donald Trump allegedly rand down a set of stairs in the press section in the El Paso County Coliseum and jumped onto a platform where reporters and cameramen were recording Trump’s speech during a campaign rally Monday night, reports The Washington Examiner.

According to The Examiner, the unidentified man “shoved a handful of cameras, causing them to topple, and pushed reporters, knocking some of them over the roughly two-foot-high ledge.”

One reporter yelled, “Get the police, get the police.” reports DC Examiner’s Anna Giaritelli.

According to KPRC’s Jacob Rascon, the MAGA-hat wearing assaulter jumped “jumped into the media pen and shoved several cameras, including ours, and yelled, ‘F**K THE MEDIA.’ ”

“A reporter with Frontline America grabbed the guy and held him until security arrived and escorted him out,” Rascon added.

BBC notes that the incident came after Trump heavily criticized the media at the rally.

BBC Washington News Editor Eleanor Montague tweeted: “Just attended my first ⁦@realDonaldTrump⁩ rally where my colleague BBC cameraman Rob Skeans was attacked by a Trump supporter. The crowd had been whipped up into a frenzy against the media by Trump and other speakers all night.”
